We are pleased to be supporting the ‘Give a Knit‘ project founded by our lovely customer Michelle Weiner and her husband Steve; essentially a club where friends have fun learning to knit and crochet to create beautiful, warm, contemporary blankets for children admitted to the Thomas Cook, Paediatric Intensive Care Unit, at Kings College Hospital, London.
The project has been inspired by their incredibly frightening experience earlier this year when their son Busby was admitted to hospital struggling to breathe. Busby’s handmade soft wool blanket was a huge source of comfort during this distressing time, and now Michelle and Steve want to offer that comfort to other parents in that predicament. You can read more about the project here.
We will be hosting a series of workshops to make knitted and crocheted squares for blankets on 3 Dec and 10 Dec @ 12-1pm & 1-2pm, £10pp. Email to book your spot.
