Metallic Foiling Workshop with Nicole Line – June 6th – 6:30pm-9pm £55
Foiling is a great way to apply your own metallic designs onto a variety of materials. This is done by using a heat press. In this workshop designer maker and textile tutor Nicole Line will show you how!
Nicole is bringing her A3 heat press to Stag and Bow and a variety of interesting materials (sourced from Work & Play Scarp Store) for you to try out your very own designs on, such as cottons, linens, leather, silk, suede and plastics.
The foiling process is completed by using a foil adhesive, painted or screen printed onto the surface in the shape of your design. The metallic foil goes on top of this, then under the heat press for about 10-15 seconds, and out comes your design looking shiny!
Feel free to bring with you any idea of designs you have in mind that you would like to print or get inspired and creative during the workshop with the help from Nicole and your co creators! For the final project please bring with you something from home that you would like to up-cycle, such as an old T-shirt or tote bag. Sky is the limit to what you can create!
